Race has been an issue in life, for as long as people have lived on earth. You pick a time in history and there will be racism attached, at some point, with some people (The Crusades, countless countries bringing cheap labor by skin color, hate of religion associated with color, and so on). Of course, America has had slavery of African Americans, pushing Indians to reservations and taking their land, and countless deaths, assassinations, deaths behind trucks, and shootings of Latino, Islamic, and other people of color. Yet, America has also preserved more freedom, fed more people and saved more lives around the world, than any other country in history. However, since Barack Obama has become President (NOT THE BLACK PRESIDENT, just the President of the United States), race is being used to bludgeon and silence the majority of people, in the United States. Pundits, news anchors, the majority of the media, and people around the country (usually with a progressive/liberal agenda), are forcing the majority of Americans, who are Caucasian, to live in fear of being "racist," forcing people to not speak out (out of fear of what others will say) and not live out and do what they believe in, for the same.
Just a few examples, from a scope of all over the media grid:
1. David Shuster, from Chris Mathews "Hardball" fame (now an MSNBC pundit/anchor) http://msnbc.com/, said this, "you look at the image of the Republican party, all white males, short cropped hair, they look sort of angry, no women, no minorities, and it looks like they have sort of become unhinged." In actuality, the picture Shuster is referring to, is a picture of nine republicans, in the Congressional Forum. It is not a picture of all of the Republican congressman, but just nine. So, is that an accurate representation, when Michael Steele is the head of the GOP (a black man, who is loosing his hair, and a Republican)?
2. HBO's "Real Time With Bill Maher," (http://hbo.com/) Maher says (showing a picture of Obama's face and shoulders), "I just want to show you what I mean by "subliminally racist" (showing the picture), this is from the 'Drudge Report' (http://drudgereport.com/) and we are not making this up, Poll Hell: Obama Negs Rise, Negs meaning Negative, but I just seem to think with a certain number of people, when they see 'Negs Rise", well you know.?" So, I assume newspapers and web site are no allowed to abbreviate the word Negative, with Neg., without inciting racist rants and liberal/progressive attack machines smacking them down and degrading them?
Yet, right after this quote from Maher, he goes on to make "racist" (by his/liberal standards) fake comments from the Drudge Report, "Obama Meets Old White Man," "Obama Embraces Joe Momma" (referring to Joe Biden's mother), and "Hoein' The Garden" (showing pictures of Michelle Obama, working in the garden). Of course this is "progressive/liberal satirical humor," to Maher, but there is no difference, as he just picks and chooses to make his ideological points).
3. During the MTV Music Awards (http://mtv.com/), Kanye West jumped on stage, during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech (for best video of the year), took the microphone, and made the comment "Beyonce had one of the best videos of all-time." (Insinuating, Swift didn't deserve the award, and partially won it, as she was a white country/cross over singer, from American Idol.) Yet, his apology in a text message, was "....I will apologize to Taylor tomorrow, welcome to the Real World!!!! Everybody wanna booooo me, but I'm a fan of "Real Pop Culture"!!!! No disrespect.....)
These three examples, from three different types of media, people of different color, and how the media portrayed them, is beyond the pail. If Tim McGraw jumped on stage and took the microphone away from Kanye West, and then said, "Faith Hill had one of the best videos of all-time," everyone in the media would go nuts, call him a redneck racist and a text message apology would never do. If Bill O'Reilly (http://foxnews.com/) ran a story saying, "This picture of democrats (showing only nine of them) was for environmentally damaging the inner city, wants complete and total socialism and work for ACORN." He would be hammered flat, by the liberal and unforgiving people on the left. People are being forced to cower down and wonder if what they say will be made out to be racist, or possibly worse, become an example (in the day of phone cameras and small recorders).
There is more to racism than just black and white. American Muslim people, Latino, Illegal Aliens, people in the gay/lesbian communities, and countless other groups are all crying foul. However, where are the solutions, other than backing white people into a corner? Saying 75,000 people marching on Washington (for health reform, and other policies against Barack Obama) getting no coverage (except for Fox News, the blogosphere and a few papers) and the coverage it did receive, was tepid at best. David Axelrod, Obama's top advisor, said over the weekend, "These people do not represent the people of the country." Really? What country and group do they represent? Are they all racist and wanting the heads of people, because of color? I do not think so. All of these examples happened in just the last 4-5 days (if you go back over the past six weeks, there are hundreds of examples of reverse racism, pigeon hole language, and flat out lies to the American people, to keep them in check and mainly to keep whites out of the way, for an agenda).
In fact, all of the people who are coming out in droves, spewing out the filth and race card at every turn (because people do not like Barack Obama's policies, not the color of his skin), and are utilizing "Straum Thurman" against (Rep. S. C.) Joe Wilson did not dream up this scheme/way to pigeon hole/control the white populations freedom of speech, over night. They have been laying the ground work for 12-15 years now. This is a carefully thought out proposal, from ACORN to MSNBC going all in a two years before Obama's coronation, to the constant beat of drums by networks (FSTV-Free Speech TV, http://freespeech.org/ and Link TV, http://linktv.org/) and other organizations (SEIU, NARAL, etc..etc..), all orchestrated by George Soros and other "wizards behind the curtain." All orchestrated to make sure the liberal/progressive movement passes, minorities and the poor are getting redistributed wealth, and most importantly to keep the conservatives and whites in check, silent, and scared to work, speak out and do the correct things (they believe in).
Racism is about a person who does not like/hates another for color, and it works both ways. For every white/Caucasian who hates a black/Afro-American, there is an black who hates a white (same for every homosexual who wants rights, over heterosexuals and "The Constitution", there are heterosexuals who are good with the way things are, just shutting up). The fringes are covered with freaks, fanatics, and all kinds of people who are just furthering an agenda and pushing hate. However, the problem is not the "fringes," but the people in the White House, Congress, and in power, bolstered by the pundits and people with huge agendas, pushing and pushing agendas the majority does not want, which will cause unintended consequences. The groups/people in power, wanting big government, universal health care and pushing a race card are isolating moderate and conservative whites, Muslims, and other groups, as well. When a person does not know if it is ok to say, what is on their mind, they will find a way to express themselves and they will also not stay quiet long.
Let everyone think before they speak, want the best for the country and not themselves, and allow themselves to step out of their comfort zone to become themselves. If this doesn't happen, there will be enough blow back, verbal and physical casualities, as people only take so much, before they take matters into their own hands.
